The Kolkata knight riders continue to carry on their great form in the second leg of the Ipl as they defeat the Royal challengers Bangalore in the eliminator. With this being Virat’s last season as captain, and considering the great form that the team was in, the fans expected the team seal off his legacy with an ipl trophy. But unfortunately for them, their chances are over. Credits to the kkr players who held their nerve and came up with clutch performances to lead their side to victory. A special shoutout to Sunil Narine, who produced one of the best performances of his career by picking up 4 wickets with the ball and scoring 26 crucial runs with the bat. Not only did he take 4 wickets, but he scalped four of the most important wickets of the match – that of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Ab de Villiers and Srikar Bharath !! And not only did he score 26 runs, but he came in at a situation where Rcb seemed to put the pressure on them and scored 3 back to back sixes of the first 3 deliveries he faced ! Performances like this dont happen often, but Narine chose the perfect time to deliver. And credits to Lockie Ferguson as well, for launching those 150 km/hr bullets at the batsmen and making them shake. After restricting Rcb for 138, the kkr batsmen went on to do their part and took the team past the finish line. Though a small total, the job was not easy for them to do, as the Rcb bowlers(except for one or two) bowled exceptionally well. Sunil Narine was named man of the match and it was a performance so special that he went home with 4 other awards and a cool 9 lakh cheque 😉
Kkr’s next target is the eliminator against Delhi capitals, and if they could repeat what they did yesterday, it would be a treat for the audience.
